Abstract |
|
•The new MTP AnchorChip 1536 TF target allows for improved LC-MALDI analysis of complex proteomic samples. It can accomodate LC gradients up to 4 hours long.•Perfect sample spot alignment on the plate translates into 100% spot finding efficiency of the laser during MALDI-MS and –MS/MS acquisition.•Increased proteome coverage by more comprehensive MS/MS analysis is facilitated by the high spot capacity of the new target allowing far more than 100,000 laser shots per spot position. •Using the new 1536 target plate, nearly 1000 E.coli proteins were identified, based on more than 6000 peptide assignments, from a single overnight LC-MALDI run. |
